Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
I really enjoy seeing all the growth that takes place at Gifford - growth in our students, in the staff, in the school, and growth in myself. It’s really wonderful to work in a place where so many people (staff and students) make so much progress.

Josh Fredrickson
, Head Teacher has been with Gifford since 2007, and has been both an Assistant Teacher and Teacher prior to becoming Head Teacher in 2015.

Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
I have had the pleasure of watching former students of mine make substantial growth as they progress through their school years. Additionally I've been fortunate to attend numerous Gifford School graduation ceremonies where a former student has accepted his or her high school diploma. I cannot think of anything more rewarding than that experience. I have learned a lot from working here, however the most important thing has been to be open to new opportunities, perspectives, and approaches.

Kirsten Holmes,LMHC rejoined Gifford in July 2017 as the Lower School Clinician. Kirsten was previously a Clinical Intern during the 2009-2010 academic year. Since then, Kirsten has worked with children and their families in a variety of therapeutic settings. She received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University.

Favorite thing about working at Gifford?
My favorite thing is being part of a community where students are helped to feel safe and comfortable being themselves. From that starting point, great things can happen!
